GimBooks offers a cloud based and Mobile First bookkeeping and business management platform, geared mainly towards small and micro-sized businesses of India and Middle East, which is easy to use and uniquely offers domain based bookkeeping and Integrated banking.

Assisting with Bookkeeping and management

We are trying to solve problem for existing accounting software that are not convenient, Easy to use, Expensive, not Indian and SME-centric. Also most of the existing Bookkeeping platforms are obsolete as they are not keeping up with today’s business needs which demands the platform to be customized as per various industries and it has to offer a holistic mobile based solution which needs to be integrated with real time banking and payments. It comes as a huge surprise that 85 percent of the 70 million MSMEs are still relying on pen and paper, especially considering the Union government's digital push. Even though the paper-oriented manual processes are cumbersome and time-taking, but still a majority of the MSMEs feel as if this is the only way to go, i.e. they have no other option or way out.
This is happening mainly because the adoption and awareness of technology and digital tools to manage their business has unfortunately been terribly low among MSME owners in India, despite the Government’s digital push and rapid smartphone and data proliferation in recent years in India. Other reasons are that the upfront cost of technology (like a business software) integration into their business’ bookkeeping operations is too high and also traditionally these software have been very complex for the bottom of the pyramid (Micro and small business owners) in India, hence they don’t want to invest that much money in those complex software which they cannot even manage by themselves, given that MSMEs usually have limited money and resources!
